John Bates is a writer and digital photographer specializing in nature, wildlife, and the outdoors. Due North Gallery was created in 2003 to showcase his special talents and offer fine art photographic prints to the masses. Together with his artist-bride, Geri, they travel the country in search of the roads less travelled for their unique photographs. They also breed and show AKC registered Siberian Huskies under the kennel name SIBEX, and Geri is activel as an aspiring AKC Judge. John also covers several large events around the country, and has worked at the official photographer for the Dayton Air Show, the Reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg, and the Woodward Dream Cruise classic car show near Detroit. John's recent works include an illustrated article for Nature Photographer, SuperModels Unlimited, and Teeze magazines. Using professional Canon digital SLR cameras and Apple Powerbook laptops, John & Geri can shoot, edit, burn, and deliver quality imaging on the spot for their clients, if needed.
